Since 2007, the dance collective Voetvolk (Lisbeth Gruwez & Maarten Van Cauwenberghe) has been building a rock-solid oeuvre. Think of productions such as AH/HA, We're pretty fuckin' far from okay, Lisbeth Gruwez dances Bob Dylan, The Sea Within, Piano Works Debussy and the recent Nomadics, which could be seen in the Stadsschouwburg and during our open-air festival BROEK. In all this time, kunstencentrum nona has been a faithful companion. This also resulted in two editions of BUITENKANT VOET, a three-day festival curated by Lisbeth and Maarten.

From hetpaleis & Voetvolk comes WASCO!, a colorful and explosive performance with children. In this production, ten young performers between the ages of 6 and 12 build a world from scratch, far from that of adults. With wax crayons and paint brushes in hand, they dance a universe on their terms to brilliant jazz. In addition: an ingenious interplay of music and light, a cinematic dance performance, an intimate séance, two remarkable solo performances and a teaser of an ambitious trilogy in full development.
