Tuur Marinus
TH LNG GDBY | BROEK 2024
On 2 April 2011, US rock band LCD Soundsystem played its so-called last concert in New York (a reunion followed a few years later). That concert is the starting point for TH LNG GDBY, with which choreographer and visual artist Tuur Marinus presents an unlikely response. Nine dancers not only get involved in a complex merger of movements, but create sound patterns with their voices in which you can hear abstract versions of the original songs emerge. The smooth and playful, the doltish and elegant, the stuttering and lyrical merge into unseen forms of dance and music. TH LNG GDBY is a stunningly original dance performance that overpowers the listener with movement and music.
