We're bringing in a legend of Japanese jazz! Satoko Fujii does it all, from solo performances to directing an XXL orchestra, and she accounts for a uniquely extensive discography. From 2000 to 2008, she created a furor with a powerful quartet with which she seamlessly blended thundering avant-rock and ingenious free jazz. After years of silence, the musicians have reunited, ready to unite that raw energy and mercurial compositions once again. In addition to Fujii, you will hear her partner, trumpeter Natsuki Tamura, bassist Hayakawa Takeharu and living drum legend Tatsuya Yoshida (see: Ruins, Zeni Geva,...).
