Massot/Florizoone/Horbaczewski
They know each other all too well, Marine Horbaczewski, Michel Massot and Tuur Florizoone. Each are masters of their instrument and champions of imagination, but together - and have been for nearly 20 years - they are simply one. Indeed, nothing is what it seems with this company. The suppleness with which they spin around like a perfectly oiled cycling team, the melodic elegance of the compositions and the meticulous precision with which everything takes its place, continues to surprise and inspire.
They veer from Nino Rota-like melancholy to lilting elegance, waltz lightly and flirt with jazz, tango and contemporary classical. In their minds, elephants and mice, happy princes, wistful princesses and overworked civil servants pass along the catwalk. After a couple of trio albums and collaborations such as Secrets (with soprano Claron McFadden), and Florizoone's catchy project MixTuur, the trio is heading back to the halls, armed with a new album and the eagerness to present their exceptional fusion once again.
From September 2024, nona's Golden Hall will be transformed into an intimate club where jazz takes center stage! With good sound, fine atmosphere, tasty drinks and delicious finger food! Nova Express brings a diverse range of the most exciting jazz from home and abroad.
