ANGST EN WALGING AAN DE BELGISCHE KUST | BROEK 2024
ATTENTION CITIZENS!
This is not a performance. This is a theatrical lecture. That is, with micros and voices
Hardly anyone knows what a lecture is anymore, but voices we all know. They are the words that form in your skull when you wake up half-high in the closet of a room you don't know with in your lap the carcass of a wild forest cat.
Twice we will read this story to you.
TWO TIMES. That's it. On Friday and Saturday. And then never again.
Those in the audience will be the first and last ones to whom these unlikely events will be read. It's up to them to then pass on what they have heard.
Unless they fall asleep.
In that case, we have an alarm gun and a particularly irritating whistle to keep everyone awake. If that fails, there are always the mosquitoes. My god, every year they get bigger and more dangerous. What an idea to read in a park, outdoors. Cold, wet and with giant mosquitoes.
What is it about?
None of your business.
It's an homage to Hunter S. Thompson and it's called:
'ANGST EN WALGING AAN DE BELGISCHE KUST'
That's all you need to know.
Brought to you by: Tine Van den Wyngaert, Kirsten Pieters, Stef Lernous.
In Dutch.
