THE EASYWOODKILLERS
JAZZLAB TOURNEE
A solo project that grew into a true all-star band around Bjorn Eriksson (Eriksson Delcroix, The Broken Circle Breakdown Band, Les Blauw). The Easywood Killers tackles just about everything between jazz, roots and film music, with crackling vitality, musical eagerness and bins of imagination. Unsurprisingly, the project was born during the pandemic. Bjorn Eriksson, a lifelong fan of film music, was working on songs for an imaginary film. Stylistically, it went all over the place, from Django Reinhardt, Eric Dolphy and Duke Ellington to Ennio Morricone and Nino Rota.
The result was The Easywood Killer, an album on which he played everything himself. The sound and atmosphere? Something between David Lynch and a dreamy trip through decades of film music. Of course, it couldn't stop there: the music had to be translated to the stage. Eriksson gathered around him an ensemble with the versatility to bring that task to fruition. A few rehearsals, and The Easywood Killers was born. Now this killer band is ready to bring that music full of panache and electricity to the stages.
