EN IK BEN + GEORGE
EN IK BEN
In En ik ben, Esther van der Wel examines the relationship between Holland's most famous Enlightened writers, Betje Wolff and Aagje Deken. Two good friends who created the illusion that they were more than that. But how to prove it? And why is that so important? Can we learn something from them, or are they so understuffed that we're better off leaving them behind? And I Am is about the importance of storytelling, love past and present, salmon, sheep and about what happened on an unusual 18th-century afternoon.

GEORGE
In GEORGE, Tobe Vandekerckhove looks loneliness straight in the eye. He brings up biographical memories. Memories like being electrocuted. Being mugged in bustling London. What do those memories look like to a demented lonely soul? Through the theater, he hopes to find his way to freedom and be delivered from the eternal thinking that nestles itself in his head again and again and again. Seeking that urge for redemption, forgetting it again and never finding it again.
